Kristin Dean directs information technology at the Institute on Community Integration, leading a team of web developers and academic technologists in creating highly accessible websites and learning platforms that support dozens of research, education, and dissemination projects. Under Kristin's leadership, ICI migrated a number of publications from print to electronic formats, greatly increasing usability, accessibility, and audience engagement. Her strong organizational and project management skills, and fluency in new technologies, have resulted in greater efficiency and measurable quality improvements in ICI's work processes. Prior to joining ICI in 2001, Kristin worked as a frontline supervisor for an agency providing residential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She is also the parent of a daughter with cerebral palsy and intellectual disability. Kristin earned certificates in project management, business analysis, and instructional design for e-learning at the University of Minnesota and bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University.
